Our story

We bring wellbeing where the water is warm

Ondarte was born from a simple idea: that feeling good in warm water isn’t a luxury, but something that accompanies you through every stage of life — a newborn’s first bath, the back of someone who works sitting still, the months of pregnancy, the wish to keep moving at seventy. In almost thirty years we’ve brought thousands of babies, children, expectant mothers and adults into the water, choosing warm pools and quality facilities — clinics, a hotel, a foundation — instead of a single pool. That way, the right water always stays close to whoever is looking for it.

What we do, in practice: growth and movement for children, relief and mobility for adults, care and attentiveness for those who get in the water with pain or apprehension. Swimming lessons, water gymnastics and massage, from the first months of life onward.

Seven locations across Malcantone, Mendrisiotto and Bellinzonese, close to Ticino families and to Italian families in the border area.

How we work

Every age in its own group, certified instructors

Ondarte courses are separated by age group and we never mix children of very different ages: a baby of a few months and a four-year-old never join the same group. It’s a choice about quality and safety: attention, pace and exercises stay calibrated to whoever is actually in the water, and every spot stays reserved for its group for the whole cycle.

Swimming follows the Swiss swimsports.ch method, with progressive levels certified by badge tests. Ondarte is a Swiss Aquatics partner and is recognised by QualiCert and aQuality / swimsports.ch: these are the certifications several health insurers consider for course reimbursement.
